Use of Sponsored Content

As a marketing professional and student of marketing, I firmly believe in the common principles of word-of-mouth marketing. Honesty of relationship, opinion, and identity is important in ensuring effective marketing campaigns for a businesses; continued trust in word-of-mouth marketing among the general population; and readers’ overall faith both in me and in the content that I post here on my blog.

At times, I am compensated to provide my opinion on products, services, websites, and other topics either in forms of cash advertising, sponsorship, paid insertions, products or services, or other forms of compensation from blog marketing services such as and or from brands directly. Even though I may receive compensation for sponsored content and advertisements, I always present my honest opinions, findings, beliefs, or experiences. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely my own. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider, or party in question.

Disclosure Practices for Sponsored Content

Per recent changes made to the guidelines regarding advertisements and blog sponsorship by the FCC in the United States, any sponsored content, advertising space or post will be identified as paid or sponsored content. Sponsored posts will be acknowledged with text statements and/or images that are clearly posted at the top and/or bottom of the individual blog post. Sometimes the advertiser provides text or images that I must include in the post to identify the post as sponsored, but when that is not the case I might use a text statement and/or an image of my own.

Other Forms of Third Party Advertising

Advertising services provided by third parties, such as Google AdSense, may be in use on my blog. These services may use remarketing in order to provide you with offers that align with your interests based on your browser behavior and other settings. You may review and adjust these settings at any time from your web browser and other applications and profiles of choice — such as those you may have on Google, Facebook, and other social media accounts — using the settings inherent in those browsers and applications.
