I recently revisited and updated my sour mix recipe, which you can find as part of the Whiskey Sour Day post from 2016, but this year wanted to also post another take on it that uses honey (or agave nectar, for a vegan option) instead of white sugar. - 2 oz bourbon or whiskey
- 4 oz homemade sour mix
- maraschino cherries
- slice of lemon for serving
Fill a tall glass with ice. Measure your favorite bourbon or whiskey using a jigger or a measuring cup and add to glass with a cherry and homemade sour mix.
Stir to combine, top with a splash of seltzer or club soda, and serve immediately.
